1. Where your data lives

Rimotik runs on your own Windows computer. Your videos, projects and settings are stored in folders on that computer. We do not run a server that receives your videos or your account data.

2. Data from TikTok

When you connect TikTok, Rimotik asks for user.info.basic (to show which account is connected: its display name), video.publish (to post the video you choose, with the caption, privacy level and settings you pick on the post screen) and video.upload (to send the video you choose to your TikTok inbox as a draft). Rimotik receives an access token, a refresh token, your open_id and your display name, and reads your posting options and nickname (creator_info) each time you open the post screen. They are used only for these purposes. The tokens are encrypted with Windows Data Protection (DPAPI) for your Windows account and stored only on your computer. They are never sold, shared, or sent to any server of ours.

3. Data from Facebook

When you connect a Facebook Page, Rimotik asks for pages_show_list (to list the Pages you manage so you can pick one), pages_read_engagement (to read the chosen Page's name and its videos, to show what was posted), pages_manage_posts (to post the videos you choose, or schedule them, on that Page) and business_management (required by Facebook for Pages owned through a Business account). The one-time sign-in code Facebook returns is exchanged for a Page access token by our sign-in server (a Cloudflare Worker); the token is passed straight back to your computer and is not stored on that server. On your computer it is encrypted with Windows Data Protection (DPAPI). Rimotik never posts to a personal profile, never reads messages, and never shares or sells this data.

3b. YouTube

The YouTube login is obtained through Google's own sign-in page, encrypted on your computer, and used only to upload the videos you choose.

4. Third-party services

Depending on the features you use, text from your videos may be sent to the translation or voice services you configure (for example Google Gemini or OpenRouter) to produce the translation. Videos you choose to publish are sent to the platform you choose. No other data leaves your computer.

5. Deleting your data

Press "Disconnect" in the app to delete the stored login from your computer; you can also revoke Rimotik's access in TikTok under Settings and privacy › Security › Apps and services, and in Facebook under Settings › Security and login › Business integrations. Deleting a project in the app deletes its files. See Data Deletion for the steps.

6. Children

Rimotik is not directed at children under 13.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
